I went to the Daffodil fly in at Fenland. Good turn out, very busy in the circuit.

After I had left, sadly, someone had an incident hand swinging his aircraft and had to be airlifted to hospital. He is recovering but has lost an arm from below the elbow.

Bit more info re. Duxford 17th May 2015:

IWM Duxford's next Bonus Day is 17th May and we will be hosting the Vintage Aircraft Club.

A special attraction will be a visit to John Romain's Aircraft Restoration Company hangar to see what goes on inside. This unique opportunity is open to all fly-in Bonus Day visitors, see below.

Vintage aircraft pilots will be welcome to enjoy the museum, meet old friends and generally have a great time. Duxford's grass is perhaps especially welcoming to older types - smooth and well drained and 800m is plenty long enough for almost all GA aircraft, old and new.

A very special attraction, open to VAC members and other interested aviation enthusiasts, is a visit to ARCo's hangar - to see what goes on behind the closed door. This unique opportunity must be pre-booked and places are limited, so call soon.

Landing fees are half-price at £7.00. Admission to the museum is free for 2 hours, discounted to £7 if you want to stay longer and the ARCo tour is FREE!!

For all pilots, Imperial War Museum Duxford must be the premier destination in Europe!

The museum offers a full and fun-packed day out with over 200 historic aircraft on display in fabulous buildings such as AirSpace and the American Air Museum. It is the perfect destination for pilots and all fans of aviation and a real ‘must-see’.

If you keep your eye on the Duxford sky during the flying season, you are likely to see any number of iconic aircraft in flight, including the Spitfire, Hurricane, B-17 Flying Fortress, Catalina and other rare types of aircraft based at IWM Duxford.

So, if you are a Vintage Aircraft Club enthusiast, or a keen GA pilot, call today to book your landing slot and your place on the ARCo tour.

Call the Tower for your slot 01223 833376 AND call ARCO to book the tour 01223 835313.
