My wife and I are flying as passengers from Chicago to Dublin (in a big jet) on July 15, and are staying 10 days. Is there any chance we could do some flying? I have 1000 plus hours in Luscombes and Champs, and probably enough in Cessna 120/140/170s/150, 172s etc, Short wing pipers, and cubs. Never been over the pond. Any recommendations on what to see would be appreciated as well.

Hi Elroy,

I must apologize if you have not received a reply to your message about flying in Ireland. This website has been more or less abandoned by the Luscombe fraternity as it has been targetted by spammers time and again. Your best bet is to join the European Luscombes Facebook Page, that has taken over. For flying in Ireland, you could also look at the "Irish general, Light Aviation and Classic Air Transport, Past and Present" Facebook page. I expect you will get a friendly response from somebody on there. If you have never been to Ireland, allow a few extra days to recover from Irish hospitality!
Have a great trip,
